Mr. Morse has had a wide variety of experiences in his 37 years in the field of education and believes that the 20 years he spent in the classroom were the best preparation for the many subsequent educational roles he has had since.
He began his career at Air Academy HS in 1983 as a physics/math teacher and football/basketball coach and later gained experience in both suburban and urban schools. Those opportunities shaped and refined his outlook, perspectives, and goals. Since leaving the classroom, he served as an assistant principal, principal, assessment director, executive director, chief administrative officer, and finance manager in addition to various roles with the Colorado Christian University's College of Adult/Graduate Studies. He has tried to retire multiple times, but has continued to be led back into roles in education.
Regardless of where he is, his goal remains to be his best as he seeks to equip and empower others to grow and develop a high skill level in their area of calling. It’s a simple yet compelling mission inspired by John Wooden, a leader Mr. Morse respects tremendously and had the honor of meeting personally when he was an assistant coach for the McDonald’s All-American game in 1997. He had the opportunity to sit down with Coach Wooden and learn from this inspiring man who embodied integrity, hard work, and team spirit. Mr. Morse cites a favorite lesson of wisdom from Coach Wooden that pushes against the “shiny object syndrome” of today’s material success world and focuses instead on simply doing simple things well.
Mr. Morse is so excited to join the X8 Global team as we support educators during a time of such uncertainty for our nation and world. He summarized, "This is such a critical and complex time in our culture and I believe our parents, teachers and school leaders are the key players in developing our young people to become confident, prepared, and productive citizens in our community and beyond."
Highly motivated, experienced graphic designer that has worked in the non-profit sector for over 10 years. Developed designs that emotionally connect with specified audiences and collaborates with Marketing Directors/Managers, Video Producers, and Web Producers to design creative collateral. Created designs for campaigns, events, products, and resources produced by Focus on the Family. Provided creative direction in rebranding a church, which included a new logo, app, and website. Earned my bachelor’s degree in graphic design in 2014 and furthered my education by obtaining my Master of Fine Arts in Media Design in 2016. This has given me the ability to see the bigger picture of a brand and formulate designs that go beyond a simple logo. Messaging and how the brand speaks is just as important as colors, typography, and icons. Hobbies that I like to do is take photos, spend time with family, and sometimes play games. I also enjoy going to the movies and trying new restaurants.
